Safety First.
When it comes to children, we don’t play games with safety. At First Baptist, we see caring for kids as part of our calling—just as Jesus, the Good Shepherd, lovingly watches over his flock, we want every child in our care to be known, protected, and welcomed.
Check-in begins just before Sunday School at 10:00 AM in the Fellowship Hall. Each child receives a security name tag to wear to class, and parents/guardians receive a matching tag. This helps us ensure safe and smooth pick-up, and it allows us to respond quickly if there’s ever an emergency or unexpected situation.
Arriving late? No problem—please bring your child directly to:
Sunday School (2nd floor), or
Nursery (1st floor, back hallway).

All of our Children’s Ministry events at First Baptist are family events, designed for the whole family to attend together. Most often, our schedule is centered around Sunday morning and Wednesday evening activities.
Pilgrim Post: an interactive four-session event designed for parents and children to experience together. Adults will learn tools to help them communicate the gospel to their children as they make the decision to follow Christ into the waters of Baptism.
-
We offer a resource called Pilgrim Post for families whose elementary children are asking questions about being baptized and following Jesus or if you just want to get the conversation started. At Pilgrim Post, we will teach families what the Bible has to say about what it means to follow Jesus and be baptized and will give you helpful resources to continue the conversation at home.

We have Children’s Sunday school at the 10:00 AM hour on Sunday mornings, Children’s Church on third Sundays during worship, and Godly Play at 6:15 PM on Wednesday evenings during adult Bible study.
-
Check-in opens at 9:30 AM in the Fellowship Hall and closes at 10:00 AM (right before Sunday School begins). If you arrive after 10:00, no worries—just take your kids straight to their classroom on the second floor. If you can, aim to arrive a little early so your children can get settled, and you can settle into your own adult class, too.
At check-in, our volunteers will help you use our electronic check-in system. It will print a name tag for your child and a matching pickup tag for you. If you ever need to pick up early, you’ll use that tag. After Sunday School, our volunteers will help your children get to the Sanctuary so they can sit with you before worship begins.
For the quickest check-in, we recommend downloading the Church Center app ahead of time. If you’re not sure how to use it, our volunteers will be glad to help you get set up at check-in.
When it’s time to pick up, we’ll match your pickup tag to your child’s tag to make sure each child goes with the right adult. If you misplace your tag, you’ll need to show a photo ID so we can verify your identity before checkout.
