Since 1954, First Baptist Church of Morehead has been leading college students to Jesus Christ and empowering them to serve the Lord in any vocation they feel called to.
Whether you’re new to town, new to faith, or just looking for a church that feels like home, there’s a place for you here. We’re a community of students and young adults who take Jesus seriously, ask honest questions, and try to follow him in everyday life—on campus, at work, and in the relationships we’re building.
At First Baptist, you don’t have to have everything figured out to belong. Come as you are. You’ll find welcoming people, meaningful worship, thoughtful Bible study, and real friendships that go beyond Sunday. We also create space to serve—because faith grows when we put love into action in our city, on campus, and beyond.
If you’re a Morehead State student, a young professional, a graduate student, or simply in a season of “what’s next?”, we’d love to meet you. Join us this Sunday, connect with a small group, or reach out so we can help you plug in.

The First Baptist Student Union (or “1BSU) is an extension of the college ministry at First Baptist Church that’s sole mission is (and always has been) to encourage students at Morehead State University to grow spiritually, build lifelong friendships, and serve the Lord Jesus Christ wherever they go next. We are known for one of the greatest traditions in MSU college ministry history: College Brunch. Need we say more? Come and see!
